(More customer reviews)I bought this bowl from my pet supply store. I was excited because it's recommended to feed in stainless steel to avoid canine acne and allergies, and these anti-bloat bowls are a great idea for my Great Dane. I took it home, took off the label and set it up on his feeding table, then he and I settled down to watch tv and watch the thunderheads gather outside. We heard a loud clang from the next room and went to check it out, and the bowl was deformed as if someone had picked it up and twisted it. But there was no one in the room. Mystified, we went back to our show and 15 minutes later the incident repeated, clang!!!, and the bowl was even more deformed than before, with the rim actually torn, leaving a jagged edge. I took it back to the store, and the best that we could figure was that the rolled rim had an airtight seal that had been made at a lower altitude. The high altitude where I live, the low pressure front coming in with the storm, or both had created enough pressue imbalance that the metal had been forced violently open. I never got one feeding out of it. I don't know if this is an isolated freak occurence, but if it isn't the manufacturer ought to consider drilling a couple of small holes on the rolled rim.
