(More customer reviews)I bought two different touch-free liquid soap dispensers from Amazon in September 2008, the Simplehuman and the Allton SD1020. I used the Simplehuman for a month and then used the Allton the following month (with regular Softsoap brand liquid hand soap I bought from Costco). It gets used about 10 times a day.
The Allton works better and it cost 25% less.
The Simplehuman does not give enough soap, and it has to be primed before each use. There is a little button on the top which activates the pump and will prime the unit, but that is hardly touch-free. When using it normally (with the touch-free IR sensor), it gives about a pea size amount of soap. I find myself needing to use it 3 times to get enough soap. (It is set at the highest setting)
The Allton has never needed re-priming (after the first time used), and always gives a perfect amount of soap.
