(More customer reviews)I have to say that if a toilet seat can be extolled, I have not met one more deserving than this one! However, the one shortcoming I found was its moderate difficulty of installation. Though the accompanying blurb claimed that ease of installation was one of its primary virtues, it required tools I did not have, as well as a fair amount of (masculine) strength and know-how in order to align the seat properly on the bowl and tighten the plastic bolts. As a single, generally mechanically inept member of the sex that seldom has occasion to raise a toilet seat except to clean the bowl, I had to ask the maintenance man in my highrise building to install it. Once installed, the seat is a marvel to behold in operation. From the raised position, it can be lowered with a gentle push and glides slowly and silently downward until it meets the bowl practically inaudibly. Even the maintenance man -- a veteran handyman and no doubt a connoiseur of bathroom seats and fixtures, was impressed; he wanted to know where I'd bought the seat. His family includes, besides a wife, several teenage boys, and apparently crashing toilet seats are a fact of life in his house.
