(More customer reviews)I purchased the DogPause bowl and matching water bowl in January and have been very pleased with both. --- Using the DogPause bowl, has slowed my dog down when eating. Now, instead of keeping his nose/mouth shoved in his bowl and hoovering up his food, Charlie takes a bite of food from the bowl, lifts his head, and chews the food before swallowing and going back for more. After using the bowl for several months, I have also started to notice a change in the way he eats his dog treats... Unfortunately, when I first got the bowls, Charlie was just 7 months old. He thought they were toys and tried to chew through the side of the food bowl. It's made of pretty tough, durable plastic so he didn't have much success but he did manage to make a few little teeth marks, which do make the bowl hard to clean by hand. Fortunately, the DogPause bowl and matching water bowl are both dishwasher safe! Also, the bowls are both really cute (and stackable)! I have seen some other slow-eat dog bowls and in fact, almost purchased one, but I am glad I waited. I don't think I have seen any cuter than the DogPause. Finally, do be careful when filling up the water bowl from the sink. If the water hits the dog on the bottom of the bowl at the right angle, you may get splashed...
